PROJECT:  Water intake at cryogenic installations of DEPA.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
 
Design of the water intake structure for DEPA (Public  Natural Gas Corporation of Greece) cryogenic station and firefighting facilities on the island of Revithoussa.
The project has dimensions in plan approximately 30x25m, it rests at -5.1m and the highest out of sea part is at +5.7 m. On this operating 9 large pumps, electric motors and diesel powered generators.
Design to be constructed in 2 phases. The first was prefabricated in a dry dock and sinking after floating to the site. The second was cast in situ. A major problem of this project was the requirement for ground seismic acceleration 0.48g.

The project has been completed and is in operation.
