BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
 
Detailed design of structural steel structures in the atrium of the Archaeological Museum of Kavala. These structures are:
  • Atrium shelter of structural steel, dimensions in plan 11.4x23.00m2. Portal frames width of 11.40m, toping with insulating panels ISOBAU.
  • Two storey steel footbridge length 11.4m, width of 3.00m and a total height 6.90m. It consists of four portal frames 3.00m width at 3.55m.
  • Support structure of a glazing, dimensions in elevation 11.40x6.80m2.
 
This design, part of the overall design of the museum expansion, was a result of participation in a competition on behalf of the AECHMI SA which also chosen for construction. Morphological elements for steel structures was proposed by the architectural firm.



The project has been completed and is in operation.
